The Technological Devices Used in Football
Technology has been an integral part of the history of football. Throughout the years, one can still play football without having state of the art shoes and ball, but in order for a professional game to go on smoothly and efficiently, technology has had an important part of that.
Many decades ago, in order for a score to be kept, someone sits behind the scoreboard and rotates the number cards each time a score is made. This is particularly effective. However, the scoreboard can be so small that audiences from afar cannot see the numbers without resorting to high-powered telescopes or binoculars which unfortunately not everyone has.

As time passed, the technology for keeping score in a football has improved. Instead of using scoreboards, stadiums the made use of light bulbs that light up to form numbers. After a while, the technology improved yet again to make use of light-emitting diodes instead of the traditional light bulbs. Even the technology used to report the progress of football games to the people who were not able to watch at the venue have improved. First, there was the radio. Some decades after the radio was first used in football games, the technology evolved and produced the television. Together with the television, camera technology improved as well. Presently, both media still remains in use. However, a new technology has been introduced as well: the Internet. With the Internet in place, it is now possible for people to track scores and events in real time by just sitting right in front of their computer.
