Federation Internationale de football Association

More commonly referred to as its acronym FIFA, the Federation Internationale de football Association was formed to organize and govern the major international tournaments of football such as the most notable, FIFA World Cup since 1930. It is based in Zurich Switzerland with 208 member associations and is being led by the present president, Sepp Blatter. The FIFA was finally formed to address the different needs of the worldwide game because its popularity is increasing at the turn of the 20th century.
