Photography as an Art Form

Photography is an art by itself. And, as an art, the best fields to project artistry are the fields of portraiture and sports photography.

Portraiture allows you to capture the emotions (or the lack thereof) and the expressions in the face of a person. This picture alone can tell a lot of stories for the viewer. What makes portraiture an art is its perfect capture of the moment: the ambiance, the background, and the expression of the subject. Sports photography, on the other hand, captures the individual moments of a pumped event like a football or a boxing game. However, compared to portraiture, sports photography can be very tricky and requires a good eye, and quick fingers. You need to be quick on the trigger in order to capture that scene because it will never return again. Although tricky, the results that you get from a perfectly timed shot are precious ones depicting that exact moment in time during the match.
